EARPA’s presence at CLEPA’s Innovation Awards 2024

5 December 2024:

‘United we stand, divided we fall.’

The CLEPA Innovation Awards took place in Brussels last night which also marked CLEPA’s 65th anniversary.

The Awards proudly recognise and celebrate the ground-breaking innovation in the automotive supply industry, driving the Green and Digital transition in Europe.

The international jury panel contributing to the 2024-edition was made up of many EARPA members. EARPA’s presence as a strategic partner for the event was made well known amongst the audience of representatives from the European Commission, Parliament and industry.

EARPA’s collaboration reflects our shared commitment to fostering innovation and driving the automotive industry forward.

The ceremony also included a political discussion with representatives from the European Commission, Parliament and industry. Key points from the panel discussion on a competitive future included:

  • More emphasis and focus are needed on the importance of R&D in the automotive sector.
  • Given fierce competition, more innovation is needed in Europe to compete on a global scale.
  • We need to be united, otherwise we will lose competitiveness.
  • We need to analyse what others are doing better to become more competitive.
  • We must nurture the value of innovation and research, where international cooperation and agility are key to staying competitive.
